These cookies were made for a good friend’s twin sons’ first birthday. The theme was “Wild One,” inspired by Where the Wild Things Are, so we leaned into strong earthy tones, playful textures, and a few fun details to capture that storybook magic while still keeping it sweet and celebratory for turning one.

I had so much fun making these cookies for a friend’s grandson’s birthday! She told me he’s a huge Pokémon fan and let me run with it — so of course we had to include some favorite characters and bright, bold colors to match.
